PASSENGER CODE OF BEHAVIOUR

In the interests of safety, by boarding any Wynyard Bus Lines vehicle, you agree to the following Code of Behaviour:

Passengers agree to:

1.      Board and leave the bus in an orderly manner;

2.      If directed by the driver, occupy a particular seat;

3.      Wear seat belts when fitted;

4.      Sit properly in the seat;

5.      Respect bus property and the property of others by not marking or damaging it;

6.      Accept that the driver is in charge and obey their instructions;

7.      Place bag/s under the seat or in storage areas provided;

8.      Behave safely at all times;

9.      Try and have the correct fare;

10.    Wait until the bus has moved before attempting to cross the road.

Passengers agree NOT to:

1.      Physically or verbally harass other passengers, or the driver;

2.      Create unnecessary noise;

3.      Move around the vehicle whilst it is in motion;

4.      Extend any part of the body out of the windows;

5.      Throw any objects inside, or outside the bus;

6.      Eat or drink whilst on the bus;

7.      Distract the driver from their duties;

8.      Carry illegal, oversized or dangerous objects;

9.      Obstruct the isle, doors or emergency exits;

10.    Stand on or put feet on the seat;

11.    Cross the road in front of the bus.

12. Smoke or Vape in, or around, any Wynyard Bus Lines vehicle.


RED AND YELLOW CARDS

If you are found to be doing the wrong thing by breaking the above agreement or by doing anything else that the driver deems inappropriate, you will be given a RED or a YELLOW card.

Yellow cards are a warning, Red cards are a suspension from the bus.

The length of time you’re suspended from the bus is up to the driver’s discretion, in line with guidance from The Department of State Growth.

You will not be permitted to ride the bus until you have returned the card signed from your parent or guardian.
